Tool Maker
Shift: 1st, (7am-3pm)
Pay: $25-$32/hr (Based on experience
Job Description:
- Create and repair tools, dies, jigs and fixtures used within the manufacturing process.
- Study blueprints, sketches, models or specifications to plan sequence of operations for the tool.
- Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gage blocks, micrometers and dial calipers.
- Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies based on specifications.
- Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify tools using machine tools and hand tools.
