Technical Advisor
Shift: 1st, (Hours may Vary)
Pay: $65-$72k/yr (Based on experience)
Job Description:
- Provide technical assistance via phone and email for field service technicians, dealers, customers, and installers
- Assist the Parts Department with technical part identification, orders, and missing/backordered items
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, VFD, and PLC-related issues
- Research and resolve technical parts inquiries using bills of material and engineering documentation
- Process, track, and resolve warranty claims within ERP system (Epicor M2K)
- Document technical support issues, identify trends, and escalate as needed to Product Support Manager
- Support internal teams (sales, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing) on process improvement projects
- Train and mentor Product Support and Parts staff on products and technical procedures
- Participate in team meetings, continuous improvement efforts, and other company initiatives
- Maintain thorough knowledge of company products, parts, and service policies
- Occasionally travel for training or field assistance (domestic/international)
Required Qualifications:
- Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Working knowledge of VFDs and PLCs
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
- High-level customer service and communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor M2K prefer)
