8am-5pm Monday-Thursday,  & 8am-3:30pm on Friday, 
$80-$120K

Hybrid Role - in office 3 days per week. This role would oversee two employees

Job Description:
Our clients is a leading midsize indirect consumer finance company operating in all US states. We focus on financing the sale of water treatment, home improvement, and other products through an independent network of dealers and contractors.  Approved dealers use our loan platform to submit consumer applications for credit, receive approval on those applications, and complete the loan process.
 
Overview
As a Senior Network Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure, with a focus on firewalls, switching, wide-area networks and wireless, as well as the software, security, and hosting for those technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and implement technical solutions that align with our strategic objectives. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members, contributing to their professional development and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Network Design and Architecture:
    • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure components, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
    • Develop network architecture blueprints and documentation to support current and future business needs.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance network performance, security, and scalability.
  • Network Security:
    • Configure and manage firewalls to enforce security policies and protect against unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats. 
    • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
    • Implement and maintain VPN solutions to enable secure remote access for employees and clients.
  • Network Operations and Monitoring:
    • Monitor network performance, traffic, and utilization using monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
    • Troubleshoot network issues and performance bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize performance
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patches, and firmware upgrades, to ensure the stability and reliability of the network infrastructure.
  •  Incident Response and Disaster Recovery:
    • Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures to address network security incidents and data breaches.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to mitigate security incidents and restore normal operations in a timely manner.
    • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing exercises to ensure business continuity in the event of network outages or disasters.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network administrators, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and priorities and deliver effective network solutions.
    • Communicate network-related updates, issues, and project statuses to management and key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CCNP, NSE) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Fortinet firewalls, including FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiManager.
  • Hands-on experience with Aruba networking products, including switches, routers, and wireless controllers.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
  • Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools, such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or Nagios.
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices, including access control, encryption, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex network issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
