Assembly Technician
Shift: $25/Hr.
Pay: 1st, Mon-Fri (7:00AM-3:30PM)
We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our Temperature Control Unit (TCU) Department. This position is responsible for specialized mechanical builds and assembly operations performed according to blueprints, sales orders, specifications, and work instructions.
Job Description:
- Perform specialized mechanical assembly and production operations for Temperature Control Units.
- Operate machinery, equipment, and computer terminals safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, SOPs, and written work instructions.
- Assemble products to established quality and production standards.
- Make necessary adjustments to ensure products meet specifications, communicating with supervision and engineering before making changes.
- Visually inspect components and finished products and reject parts that do not meet specifications.
- Complete daily production records, quality logs, and labor documentation.
- Follow production assignments and instructions from supervisors.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new employees.
- Monitor inventory levels and submit material requests when supplies fall below established quantities.
- Perform occasional welding as needed.
- Perform field wiring and other electrical assembly tasks.
- Safely lift, position, and wrench large components while ensuring proper assembly and leak-free connections.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of assembly experience required.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and written instructions.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure, ruler, and other measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, including measuring and properly locating and punching holes in panels.
- Ability to safely lift and work with large components.
- Experience with field wiring required.
