Job Description
Hours: 9:30am-6pm Sunday through Thursday
Pay: $18.67/hour
Summary of Position:
Accountable to complete all sanitation and janitorial activities as related to the interior plant environment (including processing equipment) as well as properly maintaining the physical exterior. Ensure that all tasks are conducted safely, effectively, and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Arrive 15min prior to the start of shift for shift huddle, to receive checklist, and daily activity/placement coordination
- Ensure all assigned areas of the plant interior, exterior, and production/warehouse are always inspection ready
- Assist with environmental cleaning and sanitizing as per specific area SSOP
- Ensure all sanitation / janitorial activities; Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, Annual, are properly conducted, documented, and completed per the master sanitation schedule
Technical Requirements – Education, Areas of Knowledge and Experience:
- Ability to read and write English (bi-lingual preferred but optional)
- Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals
- Understand, practice, and observe all plant GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Follow SSOP for specific areas when cleaning and sanitizing
- Ability to climb ladders or stairs safely
- Ability to properly use mechanical floor machines and lifts for cleaning
- Prior knowledge of working in a food manufacturing facility (preferred but optional)
