Job Description
Outside Sales - Account Manager
Salary $125-140K total compensation – made up of annual salary base pay up to $85K plus quarterly commissions
- 5+ years of sales experience
- good communication and follow up skills
- reasonable mechanical aptitude.
- prior experience with motors or motor repair, is a plus but not required
- Experience with new business development and management of existing established customers.
- Some travel with this role – approximately 1 – 2 trips each 1-2 months so approximately 10-25% total in domestic US.
Here is a little more detail on Requirements our client would like to see from candidates:
- Longevity in roles – Minimum of 5 years in each of their previous roles. (does not have to be sales roles)
- Sales & technical experience – Motor repair knowledge or experience is a big plus. Someone whose sales experience is in selling services rather than product. Also, mechanical aptitude to learn the details of the service that the company provides which this role will be selling – manager will train on that but need to be sure the individual will have capacity to understand it.
- Intentions for time in next role – candidate who is looking for 5-10 yrs with their next company – this is largely because there is a lot of training we will need to give this person so if they don’t have the technical knowledge coming in the door, they would like commitment on the longer end
