Quality Technician
Shift: 1st, (7am-3:30pm)
Pay: $23-$24/hr (Based on Experience)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Quality Technician to join our team on 1st shift. This position reports directly to the Quality Manager and plays a critical role in ensuring incoming materials and products meet customer specifications through mechanical and chemical testing.
Job Description:
- Conduct mechanical and chemical testing on incoming materials and product samples
- Perform hardness testing, dimensional inspections, and non-destructive testing (MPI)
- Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and heat gauges
- Cut and prepare test samples using a disk saw
- Determine grain sizing of specimens and evaluate test results
- Record, report, and analyze test data accurately
- Troubleshoot testing equipment and coordinate with vendors when needed
- Perform basic mechanical or electrical work on testing equipment if necessary
- Assist production with urgent testing requirements
- Conduct product testing related to field failures and assist with root cause investigations
- Provide accurate documentation and reporting of findings
- Enter test data into databases and ERP systems
- Prepare charts, reports, and quality documentation
Qualifications:
- Proficient in English communication and comprehension
- Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Understanding of testing procedures and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
