Job Description
Quality Technician
Shift: 1st, (6 AM-2:30 PM)
Pay: $25/hr. (Based on experience)
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Technician to support our quality assurance and manufacturing teams. This position plays a key role in ensuring products meet company and customer quality standards through inspections, documentation, testing, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Description:
- Develop and support quality standards that improve efficiency, reliability, and production output.
- Perform receiving inspections and verify incoming materials.
- Process receiving and inventory transactions within the ERP system.
- Enter quality data and inspection results into the Quality Database.
- Complete First Piece Inspections (ISIR) and product inspections.
- Inspect products using LabVIEW testers and engineering lab equipment.
- Maintain quality containment areas, including PPAP, RTV, Returned Goods, and QC-H6 areas.
- Perform internal calibration activities on gauges and measuring equipment.
- Process and review Returned Material Authorizations (RMAs).
- Generate Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs).
- Update and maintain quality documentation, control plans, and controlled documents.
- Issue Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs), Corrective Action Requests (CARs), and Preventive Actions.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding quality concerns and corrective actions.
- Review customer and supplier PPAP documentation.
- Measure GD&T features and calculate tolerances.
- Conduct internal ISO audits and supplier audits.
Qualification:
- Previous Quality Technician or manufacturing quality experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems and quality databases.
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing, and blueprint reading.
- Experience with PPAP, CARs, NCMRs, ISO standards, and quality audits.
