Quality Control Technician – 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Pay: $18–$21 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team on 1st shift. In this role, you will help ensure that products meet quality, food safety, and regulatory standards by performing inspections, testing, audits, and documentation throughout the production process. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and food safety requirements.
  • Perform quality inspections and testing on products and packaging materials, including chemical and physical evaluations.
  • Collect product samples and conduct routine quality checks throughout production.
  • Conduct GMP, sanitation, and facility inspections to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor production processes and work closely with production personnel to identify quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Verify compliance with HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, SQF requirements, and other quality procedures.
  • Document inspection results and communicate findings accurately and professionally.
  • Assist with calibration programs, customer complaint investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide support during internal, customer, and third-party audits.
  • Assist other departments as needed and perform additional duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing specifications and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, allergen control, food safety practices, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); Access experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
