1st shift, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
$18-20/hour
Job Description:
The Production Technician I is responsible for performing assembly work following prescribed procedures and instructions. The list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performs repetitive bench or line assembly and wiring operations on simple electrical assemblies or sub-assemblies having a small number of parts and detail.
• Assembles wiring harness on pattern boards involving some degree of detail as to the number of wires.
• Assemble intricate electrical units incidental to final assemblies.
• Work from wiring diagrams, specifications and layouts.
• Use a variety of electrical testing and gauging devices and equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, analyzers and programmers.
• Responsible for mounting apparatus on chassis, wire cutting and stripping, soldering, crimping, testing, or like operations incidental to assembly.
• Other projects as requested
Education and/or Experience
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, wiring diagrams, work instructions and layouts
• Experience with computers
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Able to use standard test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, analyzers and programmers
• Proficient in soldering and solder standers (IPC)
• High school diploma and technical training or 1 year related experience
