Polyurethane Coater
Shift: 1st, (7:30am-4pm)
Pay: $19-$22/hr (based on experience)
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Polyurethane Coater to join our production team. This position is responsible for preparing surfaces, applying polyurethane coatings, monitoring quality standards, and maintaining coating equipment to ensure high-quality finished products.
Job Description:
- Clean, sand, blast, or chemically treat surfaces to ensure proper coating adhesion and long-term durability.
- Inspect surfaces prior to coating application and address any preparation issues.
- Mix multi-part polyurethane resins and curing agents according to specifications.
- Apply coatings evenly using brushes, rollers, and industrial high-pressure spray equipment.
- Follow established procedures to achieve consistent coverage and finish quality.
- Monitor environmental conditions, including temperature and humidity, during the coating process.
- Measure coating thickness using gauges and other inspection tools.
- Verify coatings meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Clean, inspect, and maintain spray equipment, pumps, hoses, and related tools.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure safe operation.
