Location: Milwaukee, WI
Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, 40–50 hours per week (rarely exceeds 50 hours)

Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Operations
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for 1,200 employees, including handling tax, benefits, and compliance issues.
- Support and guide the payroll team in resolving daily operational challenges.
Job Costing and Reporting
- Lead job costing initiatives and improve data systems within our ERP (Epicor) for better labor tracking and analysis.
- Generate payroll-related reports that drive financial and operational decision-making.
Process Management and Improvement
- Partner with leadership to refine payroll operations and support a potential transition to Workday in 2025.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and develop the payroll team to achieve performance goals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience managing a payroll team (3+ direct reports ideal).
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems (Paychex preferred; Workday experience is a plus).
- Solid understanding of job costing and financial reporting.
- Experience with payroll processing for large, diverse workforces (permanent and temporary staff).
- Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
