Mold Maintenance Supervisors
2 needed=1 on 2nd shift, 3pm-11pm, 
1 on 3rd shift 11pm-7am, (Mon-Fri) 
$70K range plus BOE,

Job Description:
Under the direction of the Tool Room Manager, the Mold Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for scheduling and coordinating tool room employees and ordering replacement components and tool room supplies. This will be achieved by maintaining company's IATF16949/ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 EMS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.
 
Essential Functions
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels on each shift.
  • Ensure that employees comply with all Health, Safety and Regulatory programs.
  • Responsible for time & attendance, completing performance/competency evaluations, competency/training logs, providing feedback, motivation and disciplinary actions for employees in assigned department(s).
  • Support on enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain employee training records, competency logs, and job descriptions for assigned employees
  • Maintain IATF16949/ISO14001 documentation for the Mold Maintenance department .
  • Ensure employees have proper training and follow-up training as needed.
  • Develop and promote continuous improvement projects within the shift and assist such efforts throughout the organization.
  • Report and follow proper procedures for all plant accidents and insure all proper documentation is completed in legal time frames.
  • Assist in maintaining IATF16949/ISO14001 certification by supporting corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.
  • Maintain data bases for PM schedules, replacement components, tool room supplies and inventory.
  • Ensure that all tooling forms/paperwork are being filled out properly and Mattec is utilized
  • Assist in coordinating work with outside tooling houses.
 
Other Functions
  • Ensure the tool room floor and equipment are kept neat, clean and orderly
  • Work with QA on quality issues
  • Work with Safety Committee to ensure that all safety rules are being adhered to
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
  • Assist in Maintaining Quality Management System and ISO 14001 certification by supporting Corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation
  • Participates in APQP process as an active member and requires APQP Core training.
  • Required Personal Protective Equipment * safety shoes are to be worn at all time during your scheduled work hours. * Department manager/supervisor will cover additional PPE as required on department specific work instructions.
  • All employees entering the manufacturing area and other identified locations must wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Wearing your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a condition of employment.
  • Perform duties of mold maintenance technician.
  • Oversee the general housekeeping of the production areas and that supplies are in the appropriate places.
  • Successfully complete forklift certification
 
Key Competencies

Qualifications (skills, knowledge, experience)
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Prior tool room experience required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge on use of precision tooling equipment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Good communication skills, oral and written.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of plastic injection molding molds preferred.
  • Prior forklift experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work non-standard hours and weekends as necessary to meet the needs of the customer.
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to see fine details in drawings, in parts, etc.
