Manufacturing Lead
SHIFT: Monday-Thursday (6:30am-3:30pm), Friday (6:30am-12:30pm)
SALARY: $25/hr
The Manufacturing Lead reports to and receives direction from the Director of Manufacturing in assisting to accomplish the manufacturing and shipping goals as laid out by the company's Sales and manufacturing team. The Lead will be part of the manufacturing team where their ideas and suggestions will be valued and respected as they seek out new solutions to the specific manufacturing challenges of the company.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Being a manufacturing lead person requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and industry-specific knowledge. Here are some essential skills for a manufacturing lead:
- Employee Training and Development: As a lead, you’ll be responsible for training and developing your team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Conflict Resolution Techniques: Dealing with conflicts effectively is crucial for maintaining a positive work environment and ensuring smooth operations.
- Quality Management Systems: Understanding and implementing quality control processes and systems to maintain product quality.
- Project Management Abilities: Managing production projects, timelines, and resources efficiently.
- Advanced Problem Solving: Tackling complex issues related to production, equipment, or processes.
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Familiarity with CAD software for designing and optimizing manufacturing processes is helpful.
- Performance Metrics Analysis: Analyzing production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM): Knowledge of CAM software for automating manufacturing processes such as Radan.
- Lean Manufacturing: Implementing lean principles to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Safety Compliance: Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Supply Chain Management: Coordinating with buyers and managing inventory.
- Effective Communication: Clear communication with team members, management, and other departments.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Knowledge and experience in setup of forming and punching machines.
- Experience setting up and running Roll forming machines.
- Knowledge of industrial Filtration helpful.
- Familiarity with Word, Excel, and other common industrial software.
- Familiarity with welding processes.
- Experience with shipping and receiving procedures.
- Mechanical experience and familiarity with machine maintenance helpful.
