Maintenance Tech
2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 5:30pm-6am (however when moving to Franklin they will go to 12 hour shifts, a 2-2-3 schedule where they are working every other weekend. 
$30/hr + BOE

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will assist with all maintenance activities to ensure maximum operational potential is realized for plant operations. This includes technical skills management of electrical, electronics, controls programming, mechanical systems (process equipment, packaging equipment), waste treatment, stockroom, building and grounds, utilities systems including but not limited to boiler operations.
Job Description:
  • Company will be moving to Franklin sometime between April & Oct. 2024, so you will need to be comfortable driving to the new plant located in Franklin, WI 53132.

  • 2nd Shift hours vary based on plant
  • Work with Maintenance Team to achieve KPIs
  • Completes repairs to minimize downtime, minimize the use of parts/labor, and addresses problems pro-actively
  • Assist with all maintenance operations including, but not limited to, machinery, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems and boiler operations
  • Read mechanical drawings, blueprints and charts
  • Assist with continuous assessments of the manufacturing facility, repairs/improvements, operating machinery and its supporting systems
  • Work closely with Production Manager, Supervisors and QA to resolve maintenance problems and issues
  • Follow Preventative Maintenance program and maintain log of all maintenance orders
  • 24/7 coverage and emergency reply including equipment repair, stabilization, and the mobilizing of resources as needed
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are taken from line prior to start up, re clean, and /or re-startup from mechanical breakdown
  • Other responsibility, as assigned.
  • Ability to perform basic computer skills and comprehend complex plans and specifications.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk up to 100% of the time, work in a freezer, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills in which attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects on time is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, exercise initiative, resourcefulness, and good judgement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexible and comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible and irregular hours that may vary due to the needs of a 24-hour manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, preferred.
  • Required 2 or more years of experience with plant maintenance, food manufacturing environment preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred Maintenance certificate or Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanical Maintenance, or related field
  • Ability to work with 230v-480v and use multimeter to determine voltage
  • Wire motor based on motor electrical tag for low or high voltage based on power being supplied
  • Ability to use multimeter to troubleshoot electrical panel, contacts, starters, control signals etc
  • PLC knowledge is helpful but not required
  • Ability to fabricate or weld is helpful but also not required if candidate has good mechanical background.
  • Experience with packaging equipment, scales, and label equipment is a plus.
  • Utility experience with boilers, HVAV and air compressors is a plus.
  • Automation is my current focus for our future so any experience with robots, automated pallet wrappers etc. is also a plus
  • This job operates in both a manufacturing plant as well as a warehouse with varying temperatures.
  • While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. 
  • This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing in environments with varied temperatures. 
  • This position requires frequent pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
