Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)
Shift: 1st Shift, (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $20/hr
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and equipment maintenance, or the willingness to learn through training. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment by performing preventive maintenance and assisting with repairs when necessary. Safety and efficiency are paramount, and you will be expected to maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance & Documentation: Conduct scheduled maintenance for all manufacturing equipment, ensuring machines are functioning optimally. Keep thorough records of maintenance activities and repairs in accordance with company procedures.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Assist with troubleshooting and repairing production and facility equipment. You will be working with mechanical and electrical systems to identify issues and fix them promptly to minimize downtime.
- Safety & Training: Conduct Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) training to ensure the safety of all team members during maintenance activities. Follow all MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) policies and procedures. Always adhere to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) standards to ensure safety.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Manager to discuss daily schedules, assignments, and priorities. Maintain open communication with all departments to ensure that maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Prioritize Tasks: Effectively shuffle work orders based on priority, ensuring that the highest-priority tasks are addressed first. This requires the ability to quickly assess situations and determine what needs immediate attention.
