Job Description
Machine Operator
Shift: 2nd, (12:30pm-8:30pm)
Pay: $17.50-$25/hr. (Based on experience)
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting high-speed packaging equipment to ensure continuous and efficient production. This role requires previous experience in food, chemical, pharmaceutical, or other related manufacturing environments.
Job Description:
- Set up and operate multiple types of packaging equipment
- Monitor equipment for quality control and troubleshoot as needed
- Conduct inspections on incoming materials and finished goods
- Perform and document quality checks including:
- Seal integrity
- Weight control
- Metal detection
- X-ray monitoring
- Box and label print quality
- Cap torque
- Induction seal integrity
- Perform pre-operational checks and equipment changeovers
- Conduct basic preventive maintenance (cleaning, greasing, pad/tape replacement)
- Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards
- Assist with stacking and packing when needed at slower machines
- Follow all safety, food safety, and GMP procedures
