Seeking Entry Level Order Pickers located in Mequon, WI. Grinder and warehouse experience is trainable - we will teach you! Are you ready to learn a new skill?

Entry level applicants are encouraged to apply Background Check and Drug Screen will be required.

1st Shift: 4am-12pm 
Pay Rate:  $15.50
Possible overtime opportunities

Job Description:

Working on fast-paced Grinder machine
Need to be able to use a high-speed Sand belt grinder machine.

  • Fast-paced environment
  • Standing up job
  • Be able to read each order and measure using ruler (trainable)
  • Detail orientated
  • Team player is a must with good communication skills
  • Must be able to flex into other areas when asked
  • Be able to work independently
  • Qualification needed
  • Attendance must be near to perfect
  • English language is needed
 
Overtime when needed would be done during the week, they would start at 3am or sooner
 
Two 15 minutes paid brakes, and 30 minute unpaid lunch
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS
  1. Must have good dexterity, will be responsible for rough and finish grinding of custom insoles for shoes, this is a soft material and is very detailed type work, must have an eye for quality
  2. This grinding is done by hand, holding the insole and grinding the edges off on an electric grinding wheel
  3. Someone with prior buffing or polishing experience should do well
  4. Will be on your feet all day standing at a grinding wheel, very repetitive work, will train
  5. Must have the ability to read and comprehend basic instructions 
  6. Effectively communicate with other employees of the organization
  7. Basic math skills, add, subtract, multiply, divide.
  8. Good hand/eye coordination and dexterity required
  9. Team oriented, will cross train in the Upper Lab into Functional Assembly area as well
  10. Dusty work environment as particles of the soft insoles are ground off, some wear a paper mask over their mouth and nose
  11. Basic mechanical skills
 PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  1. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand for extended periods of time
  2. The employee must regularly lift and/or move between 10 lbs. 
  3. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and color vision 
  4. The employee will follow all Dr Comfort  safety rules and procedures
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  1. Noisy and dusty is some areas
  2. Will be working 8 hr. shifts and will be on their feet the entire shift
  3. Dusty position, fine particles are removed during the grinding, can be noisy, ear protection and safety glasses must be worn.
