General Shop Laborer
Shift: 1st, (6:30am-3pm)
Pay: $18-$23/hr (Based on experience)
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Shop Laborer to join our fabrication shop team on 1st shift. This position plays a key role in supporting daily operations across shipping and receiving, general shop duties, and industrial painting.
Job Description:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming steel, components, and materials.
- Safely unload trucks using forklifts or overhead cranes (training provided).
- Tag, stage, and organize incoming materials for efficient workflow.
- Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, banding, wrapping, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
- Communicate effectively with delivery drivers, vendors, and internal team members.
- Move materials throughout the shop to support production flow.
- Stage steel for welding, cutting, and fabrication processes.
- Assist welders and fabricators with preparation work and material handling.
- Operate basic shop tools such as grinders, saws, and torches (with training).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with shop standards.
- Support basic equipment cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.
