Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fitter Welder to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding, fitting, and assembling metal components in accordance with engineered drawings, work orders, and quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret work orders, production drawings, and blueprints to determine job requirements
- Assemble, fit, and tack weld metal components to form complete units or subassemblies
- Set up and operate metalworking equipment including torches, plasma cutters, drills, grinders, and overhead cranes
- Perform MIG and/or TIG welding and related finishing processes
- Conduct in-process inspection and testing to ensure quality standards are met
- Detect and report defective materials; perform necessary adjustments and repairs
- Move and position materials using rigging, hoists, and forklifts
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Support special projects or cross-train in other areas of operations as needed
- Willingness to work overtime based on production demand
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of fitting/welding experience preferred
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and production documents
- Must be organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Able to multi-task, problem solve, and meet production deadlines
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Willing to learn and follow direction with good listening and communication skills
