Position Summary
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Controller & Customer Operations Specialist to support our growing U.S. operations.
This hybrid role blends financial oversight and accounting discipline with customer-facing order management and service coordination. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable managing financial controls and serving as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring a seamless experience from order placement through delivery and after-sales support.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with financial policies while delivering a high standard of service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Controller Functions
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations using QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM/ERP)
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including:
  • Accounts receivable and payable
  • Invoicing and collections
  • Expense tracking and reconciliation
  • Ensure adherence to Lifco financial controls and reporting standards
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
  • Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Coordinate with external accountants and headquarters in Germany
  • Oversee credit terms and ensure compliance with company payment policies (e.g., Net 30 / Net 45)
Customer Service & Order Management
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customer inquiries and support
  • Process customer orders from entry through fulfillment
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with:
  • Internal sales team
  • Service department
  • Warehouse and logistics partners
  • Headquarters in Germany
  • Communicate order status, delivery timelines, and backorders
  • Support service scheduling and follow up on maintenance requests
  • Resolve customer issues professionally, escalating when necessary
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Microsoft Dynamics 365
Operational Support
  • Assist with inventory tracking and coordination across the global supply chain
  • Ensure pricing accuracy and alignment with company policies
  • Support and enforce internal processes related to:
  • Order approvals
  • Payment terms
  • Documentation and compliance
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements across finance and customer experience
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3–7+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or controller-level responsibilities
  • Experience in customer service, order management, or inside sales support
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with CRM/ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial equipment industries
  • Familiarity with international business operations and coordination with global headquarters
  • Understanding of credit management, payment terms, and collections processes
