Buyer Planner
Shift: 1st, (7am-3:30pm)
pay: $22-$25/hr (Based on Experience)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer/Planner to join our team on 1st shift. This role is essential to ensuring customer orders are scheduled, manufactured, finished, and shipped efficiently while meeting delivery deadlines and financial goals.
Job Description:
- Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor materials and products throughout the production cycle
- Create and manage production schedules to meet delivery deadlines and maximize output
- Establish the most efficient equipment and production methods based on capacity, demand, and staffing
- Monitor work-in-process and adjust schedules based on priorities and operational capabilities
- Communicate schedule changes to customer service to ensure accurate customer updates
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks proactively
- Generate and analyze production planning and capacity reports
- Liaise between production and purchasing regarding raw material requirements
- Create, submit, and manage supplier purchase orders; expedite as needed
- Maintain accurate material inventory through ERP reporting and reconciliation
- Complete physical inventory and resolve discrepancies
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong reading comprehension and ability to interpret work orders and specifications
- Mathematical proficiency (fractions, decimals, conversions)
- Time management skills with focus on meeting production schedules
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to detail and quality awareness
- Ability to analyze production and capacity planning reports
