What does the job involve?
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth within Dielectric Manufacturing and Centerline Machine, LLC. through an understanding of all technical aspects of a value-add product based on customer needs. The role conducts high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions and develops a network of contacts to attract new customers by developing sales projections and forecasting revenue in a multi-facility, direct manufacturing environment.
What will my responsibilities include?
• Responsible for the strategic relationship of potential customers by understanding needs and aligning product offerings with their requirements.
• Prepare and give technical presentations to customers, effectively communicating the organization’s value proposition and brand consistency.
• Ability to collaborate the technical details with our customers at all phases of the customer project program to secure business for near and long term.
• Execute and oversee a business strategy that prioritizes growth and company goals.
• Qualifies new customers and monitors the acquisition of new business.
• Creates quarterly strategy and plans based on industry targets.
• Controls metrics and reports win/loss dollars to ensure that corporate financial goals are met.
• Communicating and providing reports at an executive level.
• Responsible for internal training and tactical support to other departments.
• Define a business model to streamline estimating and customer care functions to meet customer needs.
• Travel up to 30%, mostly daily (non-overnight) customer visits.
What key skills and experience do I need?
• Experience in Sales, Engineering or Account Management required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Driven Business Development mindset to work with customers.
• Ability to develop a rapport with leadership and team members.
• Strong communication/presentation skills, verbal and written.
• Create and maintain project documentation.
• Ability to review and understand customer drawings and specifications required.
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs at a time.
What qualifications should I have?
• Degree in Business Management, Sales, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in Sales, Engineering, Account Management, or related experience.
• Experience in product development within a manufacturing environment.
