Job Description
Automatic Screw Machine Operator
Shift: 1st, (7am-3pm)
Pay: $23-$25/hr (Based on Experience)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automatic Screw Machine Operator to join our production team on the first shift. We are a precision machining company known for our commitment to quality, safety, and craftsmanship. If you have experience operating or setting up Brown & Sharpe or similar single-spindle automatic screw machines, we want to hear from you.
Job Description:
- Set up and operate Brown & Sharpe or comparable automatic screw machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and tooling instructions to determine machine setup and operation requirements.
- Install and adjust collets, bushings, stock pushers, cams, and gears.
- Set feed rates, cutting speeds, and tool positions for efficient machining operations.
- Inspect parts during production to ensure conformance to specifications using micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
- Replace or sharpen worn tools as needed.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on machines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all ISO and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience operating or setting up automatic screw machines.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
