Assembly Operator - 1st shift

Job Description

First shift: 7am to 3pm, or 8am to 4pm
Pay: $17/hour
Join a small manufacturing company that specializes in Plastic Injection Molding and assembly processes. We are looking for individuals to help us grow.
 
This position will be assisting in multiple departments of the business.
 
Production Floor Duties:
•              Visually Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met.
•              Perform continuous visual verification activities per the available Standards and Customer Approved parts.
•              Maintain the required records for the assigned activity.
•              Pack manufactured items according to the Production Order “Packaging Instructions” or the Manufacturing Work Order, and construct boxes as they are needed.
•              Follow Work Orders as trained. 
•              Notify the Supervisor of any product or process concerns.
•              Sort, Trim and Package Parts as trained. 
•              Participate in proper housekeeping practices to ensure a clean and safe work area/environment.
•              Other duties as assigned.
 
Experience:
 
A qualified candidate would fulfill these requirements: 
•              Able to work scheduled hours and be punctual.
•              Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate instructions.
•              Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
•              Ability to use basic hand tools; use manual dexterity. 
•              Proof of US citizenship and drug screening required.
•              Pelican Industries does not currently offer any benefits.
