Assembly Lead
Shift: 2nd, (1 PM-9 PM)
Pay: $20-$23/hr. (Based on experience)
The Assembly Lead will support daily production by assisting with machine setup, troubleshooting, in-process inspections, and providing guidance to team members while managing their own work orders.
Job Description:
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, schematics, and specifications to assemble products accurately.
- Perform advanced soldering and crimping to IPC quality standards.
- Set up jobs, source approved samples, and complete required production paperwork.
- Assist with machine setup and troubleshoot component, tooling, and assembly issues.
- Conduct in-process inspections and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Set up and perform continuity and hi-pot testing according to work instructions.
- Print production labels and perform tooling checks.
- Prepare kits and bag finished products for shipment.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Assemble and modify electronic equipment and wiring assemblies.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Qualifications:
- 3–4 years of related assembly experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- IPC Certification preferred.
- Previous IPC CIS or CSE certification is a plus but not required.
- Strong understanding of IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and J-STD standards.
- Advanced soldering and crimping skills.
- Experience with kitting, bagging, harness boards, and production testing.
- Ability to read measuring devices including rulers, calipers, micrometers, and scales.
