Job Description
Maintenance Worker
SALARY: $25/hr
SHIFT: 1st
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Minimum 2 years experience Apartment Maintenance ideal
- MUST HAVE valid driver license and clean driving record
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Complete apartment turn-overs within a two-week window
- Complete projects and checklists within the scheduled timeframes
- Keep all properties up to fire codes, building codes, and Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and Housing Authority standards
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues
- Utilize maintenance software to track, prioritize, and update all maintenance tasks
- Follow all preventative maintenance procedures and schedules
- Plan and schedule all repairs based on priority of need and update that status in the software system
- Provide weekly updates to the Maintenance Lead and Director of Permanent Supportive Housing
- Participates in staff meetings to gather information required to perform functions and be altered to maintenance issues
- Helps negotiate with vendors for large purchases, facilities projects, and service delivery, obtaining at least three quotes
- Available to be contacted in an emergency – share on-call duties
- Perform all other related duties as requested or assigned
