2nd Shift Rotating Production Lead
Job Type/Location: Full-time/Milwaukee, WI
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Company Profile:
We are hiring for a local manufacturing company that produces and packages pest control products. The person in this role is responsible for the storage, formulation, mixing and transfer of raw materials into a usable form. They will be responsible for transferring components and raw materials to and from process areas into the ERP system. This person also assists the Production Supervisor to maintain safety, quality and efficient production on assigned shift with production team members.
What You Bring:
We are seeking a dedicated Shift Leader to join our team on 2nd shift, with occasional need for coverage on 1st shift with notice. Location & Schedule and Hours:
We are located in Milwaukee, WI. This is primarily a 2nd shift role working 3:15pm – 11:45pm M-F. When needed, a minimum 48 hour notice would be given to cover 1st shift if which is 7:00am – 3:30pm M-F.
Primary Job Duties:
- Coordinate and supervise production activities during assigned shifts
- Train, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve production goals
- Monitor equipment operation and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, CGMP, HACCP, and other food industry standards
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety protocols
- Collaborate with management to optimize processes and meet production targets
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a food processing plant or related industry
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other production equipment
- Strong understanding of basic math for inventory management and production calculations
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, CGMP, HACCP, and food industry best practices
- Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities
