Setup Technician - 2nd shift

Job Description

Hours: 1pm to 9pm Monday through Friday
Pay: $25-27/hour

    
Job Purpose/Scope:  
Under the direction of the shift and department supervisors, this position is responsible for performing and maintaining the complete setups on die cast machines and associated equipment.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
 
Essential Functions:
  • Ensure that all specifications and standards are in technical compliance.
  • Assists in maintaining machines and associated equipment, including robots and sprayers. 
  • Maintains all equipment and ensures work space is clean and orderly strictly adhering to strong 5S standards.     
  • Maintains records and reports and attends meetings as required. 
  • Confers with the other Setup Technicians to coordinate department activities.
  • Ability to operate Frech, Techmire and Agrati die casting equipment as required.
  • Verifies that all safety equipment is in use and functioning properly and adheres to the highest safety standards and all regulations.
  • Skilled in process improvements and automation.
  • Use computers and printers to print labels, communicate interdepartmentally, and use ERP system.
  • Drive and use a forklift to set tools. 
  • Overtime may be required and at times be mandatory.
