Warehouse Support Associate
1st Shift, 7am-4pm
$17-$19
Job Description:
The Warehouse Associate drives an electric forklift and loads and unloads trailers both for internal movement to the plant and also outbound movement to customers. Another critical function is picking orders for customers and preparing them for transport.
Essential Functions
- This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Responsible to adhere to company human safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible to adhere to company food safety, quality and regulatory practices and procedures
- Properly load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, hand jack or by hand; follow correct shipping and receiving procedures.
- Generate pick sheets and adhere to FIFO (exception if working in packaging warehouse).
- Deliver ingredients and packaging in a timely manner to ensure seamless production runs.
- Document and communicate load discrepancies with Quality and Production.
- Maintain accurate and legible records/documentation of trailer inspections.
- Utilize RFID technology (Scanners and WMS programs) to move material systematically as it is physically moved throughout the facility.
- Inspect forklift daily and notify maintenance of vehicular issues.
- Assisting other departments as needed and performing related duties as assigned.
- Must attend all company required training.
Qualifications

Education:
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 yrs or older
- Previous operation of a forklift (7500 lbs vehicle) or previous forklift certification preferred but not required; must be willing to train on operating a forklift
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations and inventory control
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, Allergens and Personal Protective Equipment
Abilities
- Maintain respectful communication with coworkers at all levels within the organization
- Ability to problem-solve equipment and processes in partnership with maintenance
- Ability to determine root cause of issues and diligently apply corrective action
- Ability to read, write and speak English, Bi-lingual in Spanish, preferred
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills
Working Conditions
This position requires working on the concrete production floor; requires the ability to follow GMP guidelines when entering our production facility which is a fast paced manufacturing environment that may include exposure to warm/cold temperatures and noise levels exceeding 85 dbls.
