Receiving Associate at the Dist. Center
Shift: 1st, (5am-1pm)
Pay: $20/hr (Based on experience)
The Receiving Associate is responsible for the accurate receipt, verification, and documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments. This includes unloading deliveries, inspecting goods, maintaining shipping records, and resolving product issues with vendors.
Job Description:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy in count, quality, and condition
- Unload trucks using a forklift and verify receiving documents
- Accurately record incoming and outgoing shipments in accordance with company policies
- Maintain shipping records, including returns, dunnage, and returnable pallets
- Notify supervisors of discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions
- Work with Purchasing and vendors to resolve product-related concerns
- Transport materials on the dock using a forklift as needed
- Support clerical tasks related to shipping and receiving
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and GMP regulations in a food-grade environment
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing or similar regulated environment is a plus
- Forklift certification and experience required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
