Mold Maintenance Technician
This direct hire opportunity with a large plastics company is looking for a 2nd and 3rd shift Mold Maintenance Tech. Are you mechanically inclined and open to training?! Grow your professional career!
2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm
3rd Shift: 11pm to 7am
Pay: $17-24/hour based on experience
Job Duties:
• Responsible for cleaning all injection molding tools at the end of each production run.
• Make repairs or replace components as needed notifying management of repairs or replacements beyond in-house capability
• All work is to be documented in tooling files and computer databases
• Test and repair problems related to heaters, manifolds, and torpedoes.
• Keep Mold Maintenance Supervisor posted of any supplies/tools needed
• Build shipping crates for molds being repaired by outside vendors
Qualifications:
• Above average mechanical aptitude
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment and tool room equipment (mills, lathes, drill press, surface grinders, saws to fabricate parts, and EDM machines)
• Aptitude for very close tolerance precision work
• 1+ years’ experience in a machine shop with the ability to read blueprints
• Experience working with injection molding tools
• Prior forklift experience preferred
