1st Shift, 6:00am - 2:30pm + Voluntary OT on Saturdays

$22 - $26/Hour BOE

Our company is seeking a skilled, motivated, and dedicated individual for the position of Machinist/Maintenance Technician to fill this newly created position. Under the direction of the Line Supervisor, the Machinist/Maintenance Technician works from drawings and Bill of Materials to produce the highest quality machined components at the lowest possible cost.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    70% Machinist and 30% Maintenance
    Produce machined components per drawings
    Operate manual machining equipment and CNC as required.
    Produce head and tail shafts according to Bill of Materials and drawings.
    Plans and determines setup procedures and operating sequences best suited for nature of operations machine and size of work piece.
    Transfer completed assemblies, ensuring accurate identification.
    Maintain building with regards to its structure and utilities. To include, but not limited to basic electrical, basic plumbing, lighting, air filtration, building proper and grounds.
    Perform routine maintenance on production machinery as deemed necessary using a formal schedule, maintenance work order or direction of Supervision. To include lubrication, visual inspections, safety issues/hazards, update and replacement of normal worn parts, routine adjustments and general cleaning of equipment.
    Ability to trouble shoot mechanical, pneumatics and electrical malfunctions.
    Helps maintain tooling, necessary repair parts, hardware inventory and supply inventory associated with the performance of the P.M. program. Notifies supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
    Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, etc.
    Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.  Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
    Assist in training new employees in the safe and most efficient use of production methods.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Requires four years of high school and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.

SKILLS:
    Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints and Bill or Materials, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide to perform calculations relating to setting up and performing assembly operations.  Also have the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage
    Possess good mechanical ability and have the ability to operate a variety of hand tools, boring equipment, and precision measuring devices.
