Job Description
Laser Operator
Shift: 2nd -3:00pm - 1:00am, Monday - Thursday
Pay: Up to $32.00/hour (based on experience and shift schedule)
($2/hr shift Pre. on 2nd)
($2/hr shift Pre. on 2nd)
Temp-hire or Direct Hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret flat blueprints
- Perform safe operation of flat lasers
- Log job information accurately into the computer
- Pull and coordinate parts for transport as needed
- Perform quality checks on parts
- Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning assignments as needed
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- May periodically be asked to work in other areas of the shop depending on production demand/flow
Job Qualifications:
- 1+ years’ experience running flat lasers or equivalent schooling and work experience
- Must demonstrate a high level of critical thinking, eye/hand coordination, and manual dexterity; possess a mechanical aptitude
- Must have some exposure to flat blueprint readings
- Must have the ability to read/write and understand both verbal and written work instructions, work orders, and customer specifications
- Basic math and measurement skills using tools such as calipers, gauges, etc.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
